Questions?

Here are some of the most common questions I get about working together.

If you don’t see your question listed or are ready to schedule a first session, contact me.

  • I’m based in Carteret County, North Carolina, and offer in-person sessions from my peaceful office space near the coast. I also provide online therapy to clients anywhere in North Carolina through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform.

  • Yes. I currently see clients in person in Carteret County. If you prefer to meet face-to-face, I’d love to welcome you to my office. I am also available for walk and talk therapy on the beach. In addition, I offer online sessions for flexibility and convenience.

  • Online therapy is very similar to in-person therapy—it just happens through a secure video platform. All you need is a private space, a reliable internet connection, and a phone, tablet, or computer. Many clients appreciate the comfort and flexibility that telehealth provides.

  • I accept the following insurance plans:

    • Blue Cross Blue Shield

    • Aetna

    • Cigna

    • United Healthcare / Optum

If you’re using insurance, I’ll handle the billing for you.

I also offer self-pay options for those who prefer not to use insurance. My fee for a 50-minute therapy session is $185.

  • The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what’s been hard lately, and what you’re hoping to get from therapy. You don’t need to prepare anything in advance—just come as you are.

  • That depends on your needs, goals, and the pace that feels right for you. Some clients come for a short period during a difficult season; others stay longer to do deeper, more reflective work. We’ll check in often about how things are going and adjust together.
